Last night, I was watching the movie Julia & Julie which showcases the life of Julia Child and how she became one of the most famous cooks of the 20th & 21st centuries and at the same time, shows a modern day woman named Julie Powell that starts a 365 Day blog challenge where she cooks every recipe in Julia Child's infamous "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" and writes about her long and gratifying experience while doing so. As she was writing various blog posts, I explained to my friend Ellen that I absolutely love to blog. I love thinking of what words to use, how to create captivating syntax and capture my "readers". Writing is an art to me and there is nothing like being able to open a part of yourself and express through words. Blogging does many things; inspires, connects, and heals the soul of people all over the world. It gives someone something to be proud of each time they complete an entry. For me, it has been all those things and much more. Once my 30 Day Challenge concludes, I will make a honest effort to continue blogging and writing what strikes me throughout my life adventures, cause it helps to keep me grounded and say the things that might matter the most or that I may not get the opportunity to say on a daily basis. Even if someone does not consider themselves to be a good writer, I would recommend that they start a private blog and start writing. Write about their day, write about a moment that struck them, their favorite pet, their anger, tears, or happiness and I'd guarantee them that after a week's time, they might feel a little bit better in general cause they invested themselves into something that bared their soul a little more than the norm.

DAY 22: A Website...
Thinking what to write for this post was a little bit of a headache. I enjoy the internet a great deal and so I had about 10 websites in my head. During the past weekend, with a couple of hints from television & film and a conversation I had with a dear friend, I came to realize that Blogger/BlogSpot (or any blogging website for that matter) is my absolute favorite. I have maintained some form of a blog in the last 7 years or so. I started with a public LiveJournal during high school and then transferred all of it to a private blog, cause I realized that I was filtering too much of what I was saying cause of what this person or that person might say or think. I realized I was losing the whole point of having a blog: to vent and sort out my thoughts and have a place where I could write without judgment or ridicule. While my relationship with my blog was very inconsistent, I managed to update it every few months or so and found that I would update the blog mostly at moments where emotions were running high and I was feeling overwhelmed. In addition to the private blog, I created this blog almost a year ago. As I am drawing to the end of my 30 Day Challenge, I already know that I am looking to continue the blog and thinking about what I will write about when that time comes.
