DAY 26: Your Week, in Great Detail...

SATURDAY: I was supposed to host a small get-together at my apartment, which was one of those jewelry parties (like a tupperware party) but because everyone was busy, I ended just telling people to come over if they could and canceled the jewelry portion of the get-together. Phil & Jess came up to North Brunswick and Phil was able to get a beautiful white dresser from his co-worker for me. It looked brand new and matched my room perfectly and after 4 months of needing one, it was an immense help. After hanging out for a little while at my place, we ventured over to Eatontown to Jen's house and hung out with Jen for the majority of the day. Lunch at Sitting Duck (one of my new favorite restaurants in the area), shopping at the Jersey Shore Outlets, and dinner at Dockside in Sea Bright. Dinner was not a good experience at all, due to the fact that it took over 2.5 hours to eat there, since the cook was backed up and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. We rushed back to Eatontown in a hurry and while Jess & Phil headed home to South Jersey, Jen, Carol, and I headed to the movies to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which ended the Harry Potter movie series in a magnificent way. I love the Harry Potter books and films. The night concluded with the three of us struggling to stay awake while having typical girl talk time.

SUNDAY: Us three girls woke up and spent a little bit of time continuing the girl talk and then set out to run many errands. We came home and I did a whole lot of nothing while Carol worked on a paper and Jen did paperwork. We had planned to have a BBQ with John, James, Dennis, and Chris. Chris couldn't make it, but the other three boys came and we had a great time catching up. Something I always love is to see those four (...or in this case, three) boys interact with one another. I think they have a great bond and enjoy seeing their jokes and personalities come together. I've always enjoyed being an observer to male bonding. :) The night ended late and I headed back to my place in North Brunswick and stayed up disgustingly late cause I couldn't sleep (too much on my mind) and worked on filling a photo collage frame that I had received 5 years ago as a Christmas present from my Dad until 3AM.

MONDAY: Monday started as any typical Monday. Work was quite crazy with unexpected roadblocks that prevented me from getting other work completed. After work, I met someone for dinner and got to try Clydz, a downtown New Brunswick establishment that I had not tried before. I went home and spent the evening relaxing and trying to go to bed early, since sleep has been something that hasn't been coming to me easily, as of late.

TUESDAY: Once again, work was quite busy and I left the office early to be an exhibitor at the 1st Annual Hispanic Business Expo. It was a fun event but at certain points it was frustrating cause some of the expo attendees were Spanish speaking only, which proved to be a challenge for the my lack of Spanish speaking skills. The event ended earlier than was expected and I grabbed a pizza (sausage, onions, mushrooms) from Little Caesar's on the way home. I started to write a letter back to my dear penpal, Nick Mackara. I didn't finish it (yet) cause I got pulled into a game of Apples to Apples and Pictionary with my roommate, her boyfriend, and their friends. It was a good time and the day ended soon after.

WEDNESDAY: Guess what? Work was busy. My Summer Afternoons Music Series program began that afternoon and I attended my first City Council meeting after work, which proved to be quite an interesting affair. I'm not sure if I'll be attending another one anytime in the near future. LOL. I headed straight to Bobby's house to help Jen make cupcakes for a co-worker's baby shower. We ended a lot earlier than expected and the details of the rest of my evening can be found here.

THURSDAY: Did the 9am-5pm thing and was expecting to spend a solo night at home until I received a surprise phone call from Meg & Ellen, who had decided to come visit me spontaneously. So they drove to my apartment while I ran to Jen's company to fill out an application for a part-time position that I was thinking about taking in addition to my current job. We went to dinner at Houlihan's and hung out at my apartment. Jen joined us later and we spent several hours having some much-needed girl talk.

FRIDAY: The day started with me dragging my feet cause of staying awake so late the night before, but it wasn't something that a little cup of coffee couldn't help! As soon as the day ended, I headed home straight to my bed and awaited the arrival of one Miss Hazel Bean Lau, who I had the pleasure of dog-sitting for a few hours while her mother had to attend a happy hour event for work. We took a (much too) long nap and then went for a walk. Jen came to pick up her puppy and stayed for a bit. Then I made a very late dinner and ended up hanging with my roommate and her boyfriend. After that, I stayed up even later, finishing a photo collage frame that I owned for almost 5 years and had never filled until now.
